Where do you find books that interest you?
answers1: Keep in mind that the NYT Book Review (as well as most book
reviews) are extremely political. There are a lot of great books out
there that never get reviewed because the authors or agents don't have
enough pull with the NYT or People Magazine, etc. So do not rely
solely on those sources.

I go to the bookstore and browse. New books are released on Tuesdays,
generally, so by Wednesday afternoon, you can check out the new stuff.
It's good to find someone at a bookshop who enjoy reading along the
same lines as you do; you get a lot of good recommendations that way.

I browse <a href="http://www.amazon.com"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.amazon.com as well. They
bring up a list of recommendations for me based on what I've purchased
and I always find that helpfu.
answers2: I agree, the N.Y. Times Book Review and also, for my niece,
Scholastic. The Scholastic Store is a great way to find books, you
simply push your age group, and books upon books come up. Generally
this is for 16 - but, some of the 11+books are great for me as well.
And I am an adult! Fun, captivating books are there. Also, you can
select (completely optional) sub-categories. Like space, fantasy, and
others. I strongly suggest Scholasticstore.com
answers3: Talk to friends is sometimes what i do.
My parents are book reviewers, and they sometimes recommend some to me.
One method is to go into a library, pick up a book, and just read
the first chapter - that's how I've come to love many authors.
answers4: read the summaries on Amazon.com in the books section
then check the googlebooks and read the limited preview if available,
to see if i like the style
or, just check it out at the library and hope its good but glad i
don't haveta spend $$
sometimes, go to borders and just browse and read sections or the back
covers
answers5: This website suggests books for you. You type in a book or
an author that you like (or a book you just finished) and it suggests
lots of other books based on what you said.
answers6: Barnes and Noble has a similar books section that i like to
use after searching for books online.
answers7: the library/bookstore
i just go poking around and eventually i find something that jumps out
at me. then i read the jacket or summery inside and if i think i'll
like it i'll get it!
i hear about books that are popular from TV and my friends who've read
the popular books too!
i love to read! =)
answers8: There are books call The Best Reads, or sometimes The Best
Books to Read.
These books are set up usually by theme, genre, age-group, that kind
of thing. They give a little summary of what each book is about & what
type of people have called it a good read (as in, are you into Sci-Fi,
or Biographies, or Non-Fiction, etc). There are usually so many books
within The Best Books book that you have a huge selection to choose
from on what sounds interesting.
These are the books I pick up when I'm at a loss for what to read.

Also, look at what movies or TV shows you really love, a lot of the
time they are based on a book (or series of books in the case of True
Blood on HBO).

Okay, good luck. I know it's a drag not to have something good to read!
answers9: My favorite books are all the kinds in the young adult
section at my library (probably because I am a young adult). I just
look through the shelves until I see a title that captures my
attention. Also one of my best friends buys all the best books so
anything that she has in her room I know is good.
answers10: Barnes and Noble. Online. Instead of wasting my time
staring at a bookshelf at the store, I just search through the site
for anything interesting. :)

how can i write book?
answers1: Just start writing.
answers2: Read 200 books for each one you plan to write.

Go to the library and read books on how to write books.

Don't ask others how to write a book. Real writers won't be able to
tell you how they do it. They just write.
answers3: So, what's stopping you?.
answers4: words
answers5: write a book
answers6: Read as much as you can ... :)
answers7: I'm a writer, although I never published a book (hehe).
Anyways, what I do is I read some books to get ideas, brainstorm
ideas, then think of characters and a plot. Then I focus on writing
the story. I'll be honest, I make it up as I go along, some authors
like to plan it all before putting it into words. I find it easier to
think of new ideas each day I right it so it's fresh and interesting,
ya know? 'Cause if you do it all at once, your brain could be fried
and you could come up with boring ideas, or ideas that don't go with
the topic.
More than anything, Be creative and be positive! Don't do a book like
all books, but don't make them too far out! Because let's face it, if
you're not creative enough to think of an idea on your own, then how
do you expect to right an entire book? Good luck!
Best of wishes to you and your writing,
How to Remove Sunburn Patches (for Indian Skin Types)
Dermatologists have divided skin types in six possible categories
depending on a variety of items like ethnic background, eye colour,
and skin sensitivities. On the one end of the spectrum — type 1 — is
folks with red hair who are extremely sensitive to sunburns. On the
other end of the spectrum — type 6 — is folks that have very dark
black skin that is not very sensitive to sunburns. Individuals of an
Indian descent are considered type 5. In general people with type 5
skin tend to tan more than they burn, but sunburns are still
possible.[1]
Method
1
Using Home Remedies
1
Try a homemade lemon juice bleaching agent. Lemon juice is a natural
bleaching agent and can be used on your skin when you mix it with an
equal amount of water. For the best results, leave the liquid on the
dark spot for at least 10 minutes and then rinse it away.[2]
2
Use potatoes to help bleach your skin. Potatoes are another natural
bleaching agent that can be used on your skin without a lot of
preparation needed. Simply cut a raw potato into thin slices and apply
a slice to your dark spots. Allow the potato slice to sit on your skin
for about 20-30 minutes before removing it.[3]
3
Make a turmeric mask. Mix 2-3 tablespoons of gram flour and ¼ teaspoon
of turmeric powder in a bowl. Add lemon or cucumber juice and
approximately ½ teaspoon of milk to the powder mixture. Mix these four
ingredients together until it forms a smooth paste.[4]
Apply the mask to the dark patches on your skin for 10 minutes. The
mask will dry as you wait.
Use warm water to gently remove the mask after the 10 minutes is finished.
Use the mask on your dark patches twice a week until the patches have
lightened to where you're comfortable.
The milk measurement is approximate. You'll want to add enough to turn
the mixture into a paste.
If you have sensitive skin, use cucumber juice rather than lemon juice.
Note that turmeric powder can easily stain fabrics, so be careful with
your clothes and towels.
Gram flour is flour made from ground-up chickpeas.
4
Avoid scratching your sunburn patches while they heal. While you're
working on reducing or eliminating the dark patches on your skin, do
not scratch them or rub at them with a pumice stone or brush. This is
also good advice in general, as rubbing your skin with rough items can
cause damage.[5]
Use natural items for exfoliation instead, such as loofahs and sponges.
Use soap that has the same pH level as your skin (5.5).
Always shower after you've been exercising or sweating for any reason.
