Can police women wear makeup?

because according to my moms "police training manual" a police
officers cannot were anything thats not necessary on his or her person
or may interfere with there duty such as distraction such as a make-up
kit or an i-pod and nothing bulky around the face either because they
need to have there eyes open at all times well yeah my mom got in
trouble cuz she wore fake nails to work one time and got suspended
because her boss though it might get in the way of her pulling the
