Is Personal Finance considered an academic elective in high school?

Alexandria Popik: Academic electives are usually extra classes in academic subjects such as English, math, social studies, and science. Creative writing would probably be considered an academic elective. Did you take more English, math, social studies, or science classes than what are required? If so, those would count as academic electives.
