Puka Shell necklaces out of style?
answers1: yea they kinda are.... sorry hun
answers2: depends upon how you wear it. <br>
<br>
is your personal style the hollister/quicksilver/surfer/poser/douch...
style? do you fake bake? would anyone ever label you as a "guido"? do
you use extra-hold hairgel? <br>
<br>
if you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, then puka shell
necklaces are a total OUT. <br>
<br>
but, i think the puka shell can still be rocked if it's with the right

rocked puka shells with a bunch of other necklaces, it wouldn't look
out of place. <br>
<br>
<br>
ultimately, YOU determine whether it's in our out. if your personal
style revolves around puka shells, ignore the haters and keep rockin'
your look. <br>
<br>
unless you whiten your teeth and fake tan. <br>

how far will inner beauty get you?
answers1: I agree with the abovenamed person, but outer beauty tends
to spark the initial flame and if you don't have it then its not as
easy.
answers2: When someone has inner beauty, it shows in everything they
do. While having outer-beauty will more immediatly attract ppl, it
often attracts the less-diserable ppl. <br>
A guy that is attracted to you inner beauty is the one that will stick
with you after you've had a few babies (and have a few grey hairs
beacuse of those babies! lol) inner beauty will pay off in the long
run. <br>
Look at Paris, or Brit, or Lindsay, each one of them definetly has (or
HAD) outer beauty, but look were they are now? Inner beauty is much
more important!

death. If you believe that nothing would happen, then nothing would
happen. If you believe in reincarnation, so you´ll chose what to be
after life. It doesn´t matter if the body is stiff after death.
Probably you´ll see your self. If you believe that you´re going to see
your families, or angels, or Jesus, or God, you´re going to see them.

why is my body sensitive to cold water?
answers1: everyones body is sensitive to cold water. You get it from
your body being warm and then suddenly being cold.
answers2: some months in the past I visited my dentist with an
extremely comfortable the enamel. I also have a history of various
cavities and suspected that i ought to have yet another. My dentist
(incredibly much 30 years of adventure) informed me that i did no
longer have a hollow area, yet a "well-known" calcification of my the
enamel that ended in sensitivity. Coupled with some super nerves
interior of my enamel, it grow to be no longer outstanding that I had
a comfortable the enamel. the answer grow to be a sealant that could
deaden the nerve for about one week, accompanied by making use of a
consistent regime of a comfortable toothpaste containing potassium
nitrate. The KNO3 will bond with the the enamel and fix the thickness
of the dentin to avert the extra sensitivity. terrific of all, it
continues to be working and that i can appreciate chocolates and
chilly beverages back. Ken

Body Fat vs Body Weight?
answers1: Because you might be losing muscle. Are you eating enough
calories, enough protein as well as carbs, are you doing regular
strenght training as well as cardio? You need to maintain as much
muscle mass as possible when losing weight. If more than 1/4 to 1/3 of
the weight you are losing is from muscle loss, then this is too much
and you will need to make some changes to your diet and workout
programme. <br>
<br>
HTH : )
answers2: Do some calisthenics and the some resistance/weight training
to supplement cardio. That helps get muscles, which drive down the
percentage of body fat.
answers3: Could be you are not following a healthy diet and losing
lean muscle instead of fat. Fat is your bodies defense against
starvation and it doesn't want to give it up. Try this, eat a balances
meal of low fat protein, veggies and complex carbs about 5 times a
day.(naturally these would be small) This will keep your body out of
starvation mode and keep your metabolism in high gear. Also add some
weight training to your workout.
answers4: maybe u need 2 excersice
answers5: your body fat is a percentage of your total weight. since im
guessing you're just dieting and not exercising, you're not replacing
the weight with muscle mass. you still have fat. and since your weight
keeps decreasing, the ratio of fat to lean body mass keeps rising.
<br>
<br>
start exercising!
answers6: if you need to lose weight, you should lose if from the
excess fat in your body not the muscle mass. For example, if you lose
2 pounds in a week , but it's 2lbs of muscle, your body fat count will
increase. However, if you lose 2lbs of body fat your body fat count
will decrease. This woiuld imply that the weight you are losing is
muscle mass, so you are probably working out with heavy weights, as
opposed to light weights.

Lighten skin? Answer please.?
answers1: Use cleansers and moisturizers with brightening ingredients
so they give the effect of your skin looking lighter. You can't change
your skin tone overnight but with certain products you can make your
skin look more radiant. I recommend Aveeno's Skin Brightening Daily
Scrub.
answers2: Get a lighter shade of liquid foundation, and concealer.
Apply both of those then finish with a lighter toned powder
answers3: Hi, it's going to take a while (at least three months) to
see a bit of results so be prepared... Brightening products are going
to be your best friends, and lemon too. <br>
Everyday apply lemon juice on your face (if you have dry skin be
careful it might burn so if you have sensitive/dry skin you should use
distilled lemon water instead) and don't forget to apply a cream
after.

SKIN CARE remedies?
answers1: They will make your skin very sticky! <br>
<br>
To brighten up your skin tone, use a good cleanser and exfoliate.
Exfoliating your skin gets rid of all the dead, dull skin cells that
make your skin appear dull and lifeless. Follow up with a toner to
balance the pH levels in your skin and then a moisturizer suited for
your skin type (dry, normal, combination, or oily). Also, when
choosing a skin care regimen (cleanse, exfoliate, tone, and
moisturize) use the same brand. Generally, same brand items are
designed to work together...don't mix and match.
answers2: yes. all the unnatural crap people use these days, and
there are more ppl with severe acne than eveer before!! i know
there's a connection. good luck!! <3
answers3: put food on your face is a really bad idea. It has bacteria
that wont be harmful if it goes in your mouth, but will probably make
you break out if you put it on your face. People, really, just go to a
dermatologist and get a peel or somthing instead of speanding all your
money on honey. If you really wanna try that, eat the honey and lemon
juice

If you look better without makeup, then don't wear makeup! Don't play
into the idea that everyone HAS to wear makeup! You're just the lucky
one. <br>
The problem however may be that you are applying it correctly. You
can use youtube like someone else suggested. <br>
If you're really set on wearing makeup, I suggest you applying only
foundation and light eye makeup that excentuates your natural beauty
instead of overempowering your face.
answers2: i would first have to know how u put on your makeup <br>
but if you look a lot better without makeup then dont wear it........ <br>
it isnt very good for your skin
answers3: Try watching youtube tutorials on how to correctly apply
makeup. On youtube search Michelle Phan, she's Asian and even though
you don't look Asian, she might give you some ideas. <br>
<br>
But if you look prettier without it, you're lucky!
answers4: well, I'm not psychic...you should include a picture with
and without make up then we can give you an honest opinion. =D
answers5: I think every girl is beautiful without make up.

For a school day: <br>
-Draw on my eyebrows with the maybelline brow liner <br>
<br>
On a date: <br>
-Pull hair back <br>
-Use a sponge and dab on Estee Lauder's double wear foundation. <br>
-Maybelline's brow liner <br>
-Add an eyeshadow base w/ my fingers (Maybelline tough as taupe) <br>
-Do a winged liner with Sephoras liquid eyeliner <br>
-Use a eyeshadow brush to pack on matte black eyeshadow and darken it
towards the crease, blend. <br>
-Next I use maybelline's concealer for the undereye which is 2-3
shades lighter than my skin tone because I want that kim kardashian
glow. I then expand it outwards from my undereye to the top of my
cheeks then set the undereye concealer with covergirls translucent
fair pressed powder <br>
-I don't usually add setting powder but when I do, I add a light layer
of Maybelline dream matte powder. If I use a lighter foundation, I use
a more full coverage powder (Milanis multitask powder) <br>
-use Revlon lash curler to curl my lashes, and apply a coat of
Diorshow mascara <br>
-Apply false lashes (Quo- canadian brand) <br>
-I then use pencil eyeliner from BeneFIT - Bad Gal in waterproof and
line 2/3 of my bottom line, then I use the crease brush to blend out
the bottom liner to create a softer look <br>
-I find a light highlighting shade to highlight the inner tearduct,
brow bone. <br>
-I add a creamy highlighter on my cheeks blending it out, my cupids
bow, a dot on my chin, the bridge of my nose up till my forehead,
basically the t-zone area. <br>
-I use Annabelles bronzing powder to contour my cheeks doing a fishy
face, then if I still want more color I lightly dab on Nars Gina blush
onto the apples of my cheeks with a smile. <br>
-If I have extra time, I contour my nose too <br>
-I use a nude lipstick for finishing touch, or sometimes no lipstick. <br>

i need to straighten my hair?
answers1: straightening can harm ur hair beyond restoration and there
comes a point in ur life when u want ur curly frizzy hair back..why do
u want to change what god has given u?
answers2: well obviously you need good straighteners, such as ghd's or
ones that go quite hot. <br>
Get a bobble/big clip and get most of your hair apart from the bottom
layer and clip it or tie it up n a bun, just make sure it doesn't get
in your way. Straighten the bottom layer and if you have trouble
keeping it straight put on some hairspray or mousse. next put your
hair down and get most of your hair apart from the 2 bottom layers,
then straighten the second to bottom layer. Keep that going making
sure you straighten each time from the root of your hair, up until
your reach your parting. Afterwards just make sure all your hair is
straight (: x
answers3: if u want a perm straighten, u can do the brazilian perm,
which straightens ur hair for months at a time. If u want straight
hair for a few days or a couple of hours, wash ur hair, blow dry it
straight or as much as possible, then flat iron ur hair and to
finalize use a glossing cream, (get Fekkai) from bath and body works.
answers4: Spray a heat proctectant into your hair before straightening
it and just separate into sections and straighten like normal.
answers5: 1. Wash and condition your hair as usual. <br>
2. Towel dry your hair by gently blotting hair with the towel.
Remember that wet hair is more vulnerable to damage so be gentle with
your hair when it is wet. <br>
3. Put a protective product on your hair as the blow dryer is going
to blow the bejesus out of it. <br>
4. If you use a straightening product, put it on your hair now and
distribute evenly. <br>
how to straighten your hair <br>
5. You know how they divide your hair into sections when you're at
the salon? Though it's never easy to reproduce what they do at the
salon, do the same thing as best you can (and next time you're at the
salon, watch closely to see how they do it). You're going to divide
your hair into sections and put all the sections up on top of your
head except for the bottom section. <br>
6. Using a brush, select a small segment of hair from the bottom
section that you did not put up. Start at the top of the segment of
hair and gently brush from the roots to the ends, blow drying as you
go. You'll want to keep the hair away from your head so as not to burn
your scalp with the blow dryer. Always keep the blow dryer moving and
go from underneath your hair to on top of it with the blow dryer. <br>
7. Never spend too much time in one spot with the blow dryer. Think
of it like you do brushing your teeth -- you'll want to try and hit
all the spots evenly. <br>
8. While you want to keep some tension on your hair as this helps
to straighten it, it's a fine line between not enough and too much.
Basically, you want to minimize pulling and stretching wet hair while
trying to keep tension consistent. <br>
9. When one segment is dry and straight, move on to another segment
of your hair, and repeat the sequence above. When all of the hair in a
section is dry and straight, then unclip another section of the hair
that is on top of your head and go through the same sequence.
answers6: Hair straighteners. <br>

answers7: you know how the first answer says "frizz ease range"? well,
my mum uses it and it doesn't work. Instead, after you wash your hair,
always put it a olive oil based hair moisturizer, and don't wash your
hair everyday. Trust me, we're not like the straight-haired people, we
SHOULD NOT wash our hair too often. Then, everyday when your going
out, but a little bit of cocoa butter based hair cream, just to
flatten those sticking-up hairs. This is cheaper than frizz-ease and
works better. <br>
<br>
and, if you want to have straight hair that is cool, but personally i
think we should flaunt our curly hair, not change it. Why not try
straightening the tops and curling the bottoms? That way you get a bit
of both worlds... <br>
<br>
<br>
remember that using too much heat on your hair can damage it FOR LIFE
so be careful with this straightening business
answers8: I also have really curly frizzy hair but i just straighten
it with my straightner. I have a Chi. They are AMAZING!!!!
answers9: Buy a CHI. It is expensive but it works better than any of
the other straightning irons. These are used by professionals. <br>
<br>
The Chi also leaves your hair feeling soft and shiney. My hair looked
dead after straigtning it for many years...I used this thing for the
first time and my hair looked healthier than EVER. You can use this
thing on wet or dry hair. I personally leave my hair damp when using
it.
answers10: buy some de-frizz and heat protcetion spray <br>
then straighten your hair but do it really well and slow otherwise you
can end up with straight frizzy hair. <br>
Good Luck!
comes a point in ur life when u want ur curly frizzy hair back..why do
u want to change what god has given u?
answers2: well obviously you need good straighteners, such as ghd's or
ones that go quite hot.

Hair that matches Bi-racial hair?
answers1: 100% Indian hair...its smooth and silkly and you can wash it
and wear over and over.. <br>
http://www.trueindianhair.com/
answers2: 3a/b/c is hair type for B-racial hair. Umm, I guess you
could try and look for spanish wavy hair or french wavy hair. It has a
curl similar to B-racial hair. With Alicia Keys, I'm guessing that's
Remy Indian hair. So you could try the Spanish, French wavy hair human
hair or the Remy human hair. Remy is expensive though but it's a
higher quality. Never get synthetic b/c it doesn't look or feel real.
Pick some of them out and then take it to a good hair dresser, she'll
know which one looks best.

What accessories could I team with this strapless dress?
answers1: :) it's pretty ; <br>
red flats or heels would look great . <br>
i think leaving your hair down would look good too . <br>
if you wear a neclace i suggest a longer one , <br>
and silver or red , black, , green jewlery would match the coulors
answers2: Wow! Nice dress :) <br>
<br>
I think red heels would look great, and I'd go for a simple-ish
necklace and more statement bangles, in colours which go with the
floral print.
answers3: I think it'd look nice with a necklace made of colored
stones. Preferably colors that match the floral print.
answers4: It's surely cute. <br>
<br>
You should avoid anything flashy though with it, as the are colours
and patterns... Let your hair down and wear no accessories - perhaps
only a big strange ring. <br>
<br>
The shoes could be in any of the colors of the dress, but not with
ornaments or too many straps etc, something really simple, as the
dress is too distinctive. :)

Selling gun accessories/magazines in NC?
answers1: NC is part of the free United States and does not restrict
high cap mags. There are no restrictions on sell gun accessories or
magazines in most of the US. The only part that is restricted is the
receiver of a rifle or frame of a pistol (basically the part where the
trigger is located). Even then you sell privately a long arm in NC,
but buyer without a CHP must get a purchase permit for a handgun (or
handgun frame).
answers2: best option sell it to a middle man gun shop or second hand
shop so that you are utterly in the clear then buy more guns

population was growing, people were moving there for the work and
hoping for a better living. So, this made the Industry grow, and
factories boom. These were gloomy times but people pretended that they
were so happy...There is a word in the text that was used to express
this pretense state of mind . Maybe he is speaking about the nature of
the people or Big Industrial businesses. If this don't help ask your
instructor, they will explain further.
answers2: Hey there! Someone in my Twitter feed shared this page so I

answers3: The question isn't about how the world will end and its
cause--nature or machines. <br>
<br>
It's looking back--saying that there had been the Romantic notion that
Nature was the most powerful force. Then along came the Industrial
Revolution, which celebrated the power and importance of machines.
<br>
<br>
The question is: How was this belief/faith in machines evident in the
Industrial Age? <br>
<br>
I don't want to write the answer for you, but look at what happened in
the Industrial Age. The things that most seemed to affect society were
inventions. Machines. And in many cases there was the belief that the
machines actually could counteract or overcome nature. Expand on that
thought with some examples. (Hint: Airplanes overcoming
gravity...except when you have experiences like the Hindenburg. Or
ships overcoming oceans...except when you have experiences like the
Titanic.) <br>
<br>
Hope that helps.

Isn't upsetting to know Philosophy is listed as Arts & Humanities and not Science?
answers1: it is not the only one .I have found another. Astrology is
listed as Horoscopes and under the heading of entertainment and music
<br>
First of all it i a serious subject and is not meant for entertainment
answers2: It's listed where it should be...nothing upsetting about it.
answers3: As long as it's protected under free speech you shouldn't
worry. Philisophy is bound to humanity, it is the science of being
humane, so it goes either way on that account. Wait a minute this
question is paradoxical, or the people of yahoo don't know philosophy
is the science of being humane. Either way I just fried my brain on
paradoxical questioning. Other than that, no, I am not upset, it's got
a catagory and thats what matters most.
answers4: No its not upsetting.
answers5: It's in Humanities because it depends on humans just like
history or english,french and so on. If there wouldn't be humans there
wouldn't be any of the above listed, however mathematics, the laws of
physics do not depend on our existence.
answers6: it is still art
answers7: No its not upsetting. The acts of doing philosophy AND
science are both creative acts of the mind. It is our brilliant minds
that have been able to construct and formulate the ideas, theorems and
accounts of the world around us. Philosophy is probably the broadest
subject around because it covers everything (scientific inquiry,
sociology, psychology, mathematics, ethics, political science), the
acquisition of knowledge and it even deals with the metaphysical
inquiries that probe into the meaning of who we are, why we're here
and where we are going. Philosophy is the basis of all things. Maybe
the act of philosophy is god, the animating creative force behind the
human being...
answers8: No. Science and the scientific method are about things that
can be detected by our five senses (or suitable scientific
instruments) and are measurable. Philosophy is about the things that
can't be so quantified, yet exist nonetheless.
answers9: Science is concerned with "how" not "why".

Is Chinese Martial Arts better than Russian Martial Arts?
answers1: No.
answers2: Rather depends on what you're looking for. <br>
Chinese arts have a long history and tend to be very "developed" which
may or may not make them entirely practical for actual fighting. If
you want to learn something as a "art" with lots of distinct forms and
techniques, then any number of Chinese systems may be good for you.
<br>
<br>
Russian styles, like much of Russian military equipement, tend to be
very practical. They are not "pretty", but they tend towards brutal
efficiency. If you want a practical fighting system... They are more
likely the way to go.
answers3: I think there are many reasons for refinement - or
evolution. There are the famous cases of the Okinawan peasants not
being allowed to use weapons - so they refined their fighting skills
to use whatever they had on hand. Another is Capoeira, the natives
were forbidden to practice fighting, and so they disguised their
practice with what the slave owners thought was dance. Militias, of
course, evolved when weapons became more technical. Warriors threw
down their spears to pick up long bows. The long bows gave way to
crossbows. The crossbows gave way to guns. And so on. These are
generally the success stories, because the refinement occurred slowly.
There are other evolutions that have obliterated entire styles: take
Taekwondo, for instance. Perhaps, even Karate. The mere concept of
sport injected into the style has transformed what was once a fierce
fighting system into nothing more than a game - it's only connection
to its past are deeply embedded in its forms. Another example is the
roundhouse kick. There didn't used to be the concept of it. A low
sweep, maybe, but certainly not of the ilk that strikes the head today
- that would be taboo in self-defense. Nevertheless, it's one of the
most executed kicks in the style. The evolution has come so quickly,
that forms didn't change much to catch up with it. And, of course,
there is the evolution of MMA. Here, people picked and chose what
"worked" for them, and dispensed with the rest. I suppose if you are
going to further an objective in the name sport, it makes sense to
prune out what you find useless - such would be the things that are
counter to the established rules (eye gouging, for instance). But if
one takes a style that has been around for years, then decides this
isn't important, and that's useless, etc, then that refinement is too
quick: not enough testing was done to see if one was right. We see
this all the time with each new decade showing off it's new chic
martial-art-de-jour. Are they any better? Are they worse? It depends
on the objective and quality of teaching. But there's no way I'll be
convinced they are a "way of life" that the older systems are. I don't
mind evolution, but it's got to further a meaningful objective. To do
it in the name of "this doesn't work" is to show a complete lack of
understanding of what it is that's being changed.

practical function of art?
answers1: it points us to the philosophical in our own lives and to
that which we want to preserve or change. Art in the making or the
viewing can have an enormous effect just think of the majority of
peasants in the 14th centrury who would never have seen a designed
cornflakes box or a label on a tin. How astounded they would be at the
art within a church the magical pictures depicting the story because
they could no t read - Art practically takes us into ourselves and is
an agent of change through visuals. they say in the press a picture is
worth more than a thousand words.That is because it moves us - changes
attitudes
answers2: Maybe, if that's what you want to do with it. Other
practical functions, graphic designer, book illustrator. Book
illustrator might take some work. Might not be so 'practical' but it
could be, and functionality and purpose; gives understanding to
children and adults, helps them read. Graphic design- ads, help people
to enroll in college, become doctors. Practical? You pick. You can
only succeed in what is interesting to you. If it's not, you won't be
good at it. Any of it takes effort.

Do i need to be good at art to major in art history? HELP PLEASE?
answers1: no, not for art history <br>
you can major in art history at almost any college, you dont need to
go to an art college <br>
you need a portfolio to major in art, or architecture in most cases
answers2: I think you've got the issues here a little confused. <br>
<br>
A school like Parsons or the Art Institute is going to focus on visual
arts, which is COMPLETELY different that art history. Art history is
an academic discipline that doesn't require any artistic skill. As an
art history student, you will learn the historical development of art,
from pre-history to contemporary art, with the different "schools" and
phases - ie, Byzantine, Medieval, Baroque, Impressionism,
Post-Modernism. For each school of art, you will learn the
influences. Art forms are influenced by culture, politics, religion,
society, international developments, technical achievements, etc. You
will study these influences and developments, and how they impacted
the art form of that time. You may also study the different ways art
is interpreted - feminism, queer study, Marxism, etc. <br>
<br>
You don't want to go to a visual art school for this. You want to
attend a university with a diverse art history faculty. Look into
schools with a generous amount of professors (don't forget to look at
adjuncts!) who represent various time periods and cultures. The
reason for this, is many careers in art history will require an
advanced degree - a Masters at minimum, probably a PhD. Therefore,
you want to have a diverse undergraduate study so that when you need
to specialize in your more advanced degree(s), you have a broad area
of knowledge from which to pick your specialization.

Why doesn't this question appear in the visual art section ?
answers1: Because, when you selected the category, after entering the
question, you either clicked the wrong one or accepted the default
that Y!A suggested which was Drawing and Illustration probably because
of your dual use of "pop artist" in the question. <br>
And more directly, this guy is not a Visual Artist - he seems to be a
musician of sorts which is not included in Visual Arts.

Do guys act differnt around girls?
answers1: yeah they do, in front of there friends they do weird crazy
things and act like a psycho. but in front of girls they act chill and
calm and sweet and innocent. cause they want them to feel like there
amazing and sweet.. there are few guys that will act crazy like they
do with their friends in front of girls..
answers2: Some yes. <br>
<br>
The jerk guys will think of you as a lower person than your friends.
He will treat you differently in a bad way. <br>
<br>
The gentlemen will treat you with respect. They won't burp and fart
around you like they do with their guy friends. They won't do things
in front of you that you don't want to do (like watching them play
video games or something). <br>
<br>
Or another one is guys may be flirtatious around women and be very polite, idk.
answers3: I have noticed that guys do actually act different around
girls they like when they're by themselves. A guy can be the most
outgoing and talkative person, but when it comes to the girl they
really like, they get all shy around her.
answers4: totally :p everyone tells me I am such an ****** around
normal people. but I love my gf I treat her super nice. I save every
good thing to do or say just for her ;) makes her feel so special and
we enjoy laughing about how mean to other people when we are out
places lol. I don't try to be a bully or anything just I suppose I
have a sharp tongue :p guess I say wrong things lol. but not to her :p

You can check this link: http://www.yellowpages.com/baltimore-md/acting-classes
answers2: very confusing issue. do a search on yahoo and bing. this may help!
answers3: Acting coaches are only useful once you're an established
actor and need to work on one specific aspect of acting, like an
accent, dialect or a difficult characteristic. <br>
All good acting training is done in groups, as acting is all about
reacting and interacting with other actors. <br>
Coaches are also expensive and not worth the money anyway.

'suprise'. lol
answers2: Oh its at the Gayboy mansion. XD
answers3: They aren't releasing which theaters. <br>

It's actually a great marketing scheme. The more often you go to a
theater, the better your chances of seeing them. Wouldn't it suck if
you went on a Friday, and then they show up on a Saturday? <br>
<br>
I did read that they have already followed through on the deal, and
have showed up at one theater in CA. <br>

Good Luck!

Can i use My Musical Theater Skills on Videos or Films?
answers1: Musical Theater and Theater are basically the same, just
Musical Theater has singing and dancing. while regular theater is just
spoken drama. <br>
Stage acting and video or film acting is very different. <br>
while you use the basics of acting in both, stage acting is much more
pronounced and overdone, so that the whole audience can see the actors
expressions and body language. <br>
Film or video is very close up, so you really minimize your
expressions and actions. <br>
<br>
A great example of Theater acting VS Film is Jim Carrey. <br>
That dude overacts so much it's ridiculous. He acts in film like he's
in a big theater so his facial expressions and movements is way too
much for the intimacy of film. <br>
I can't stand how badly he overacts. He's funny but looks like an
idiot doing it. Jerry Lewis was like that, too <br>
<br>
He was very "over the top" in films. <br>
<br>
So you do use your skills for spoken word and making it real, but you
tone it down quite a bit, acting basically "normally" but in another
"character. <br>
While stage acting has wide arm and body movements and big facial
expressions and is very "DRAMATIC"
answers2: being in performs grants help to boost public conversing
skills. additionally it helps you have the skill to study peoples
thoughts greater effective. Being in performs is likewise a great
thank you to fulfill new human beings.

Who Started poetry in past? in other words who is the founder of poetry?
answers1: Most people credit the Ancient Egyptians with inventing
poetry, but recent scholarship shows that they stole it from the
Phoenicians.
answers2: sophisticated subject. lookup using bing and yahoo. just
that will help!
answers3: Poetry as an art form may predate literacy.[4] Many ancient
works, from the Indian Vedas (1700–1200 BC) and Zoroaster's Gathas
(1200-900 BC) to the Odyssey (800–675 BC), appear to have been
composed in poetic form to aid memorization and oral transmission, in
prehistoric and ancient societies.[5] Poetry appears among the
earliest records of most literate cultures, with poetic fragments
found on early monoliths, runestones and stelae.
answers4: Oh my, there was never any 'first poet'. When humanity
gained speech, then poetry was born. <br>
<br>
Robert Penn Warren believed that poetry provided us with a sense of
conquest over the disorder and meaninglessness of experience. <br>
<br>
Li Bai believed that speech itself was poetry, and Whitman felt that
life was the finest poetry written in our universe. Homer and the
writers of Beowulf were siblings across time, organizing their worlds
into tales told well and with great beauty. <br>
<br>
The first time I saw the Northern Lights I was awestruck, terrified,
and immensely in need of reassurance which I found by composing long
verses out loud to the skies and heavens which brought this sight
alive. <br>
<br>
That was, in me, some of the birth of poetry, and I well imagine that
it was so ever since we walked upright and spoke aloud.

poetry contests?
answers1: Enter the poetry concert. Let them know these nutz is back
answers2: I think you've answered your own question; legit a keyword.
Poetry is not a competition sport and I offer a quote, " There is no
money in poetry, the there is no poetry in money either." Poets of
course hope to be recognized, but poetry is a passion, that can't be
denied.

answers3: Learning poetry forms helped me to improve my poetry
answers4: Reading poetry from all times and places, in bilingual
editions as much as possible. (Even if you don't know the language,
the chances are good that you'll see differences in prosody, syntax,
rhymed words, etc., which will help you understand the poem and the
language better. Usually more recent translations are better, but not
necessarily.) <br>
<br>
Accepting that you, even though you're a poet or aspire to be one,
will not like all canonical poets. (You aren't supposed to like all
other poets, no matter how great the canon says they are. That's one
reason why you need to read criticism/theory/history. See below.) <br>
<br>
Writing poetry of all kinds, of all forms and tones and "levels" of
language and whatnot.... <br>
<br>
Emulating poets I admire/d (more when I first started). Being sure
that some of these are living poets. <br>
<br>
Writing out others' poems to "feel" the words and feelings and thought
processes more intimately and often more clearly. <br>
<br>
Memorizing favorite poems and sharing them with others. <br>
<br>
Being willing to write anywhere, anytime. (Having a pad of paper and a
writing instrument with you at all times and nurturing an ability to
concentrate. Sometimes changing the kind of paper and writing
instrument you use.) After doing this for a while, hopefully figuring
out how best you write and making your schedule fit those conditions.
<br>
<br>
Writing something first thing in the morning if at all possible. Not
only will you know that you've done something for yourself, but you'll
also put yourself in a poetic frame of mind for the rest of the day:
you'll be thinking of what to do with those lines you wrote or other
lines for other poems will come to you. <br>
<br>
Being unafraid to show others your poems, even if they are works in
progress. Choosing different sorts of people to show your poems to,
including everyone from nonreaders of poetry to those you know will
give you honest and constructive criticism. Being willing to listen to
that criticism and do something with it. <br>
<br>
Living in another country for at least six months. <br>
<br>
Getting outside. <br>
<br>
Being unafraid to be alone. <br>
<br>
Falling in love. <br>
<br>
Trying to make one new friend wherever you are, whomever you're with. <br>
<br>
Living as principled a life as possible. <br>
<br>
Realizing that the duty of the poet is almost always to be a loser.
Realizing that, at least in the U.S., the poet is too often a prophet
without honor. <br>
<br>
Reading all kinds of poetry criticism and history. For me there are
two especially interesting books, one for its ambition and scope and
love, the other for its very different approach: Michael Schmidt's
Lives of the Poets and Louis Zukovsky's A Test of Poetry.---And most
poets have the experience of reading Rilke's Letters to a Young Poet
when first beginning. <br>
<br>
Avoiding Selected Poems or anthologies, instead reading entire books
or collections by a single poet as much as possible; also, trying to
concentrate on one poet for as long as possible. <br>
<br>
Finding venues where you can read your poetry to others, thus trying
out your voice in different ways, seeing how and where the poem seems
to stand or fall, meeting other poets who might have the same
aesthetic or might be looking for a certain sort of sounding board.
<br>
<br>
Looking always for greatness, but not always accepting the words of
others that it exists where they say it does, whether they're readers,
critics, poets, or muses.... <br>
<br>
Remembering that there's always not only a need but a duty to improve....
answers5: You need to send these to a publisher I enjoyed the read and
think this would make a great book.
answers6: Age. <br>

answers9: Read widely, learn about different styles of poetry and
literary techniques. Appreciate others' works. Have pieces of paper
with you (even receipts are fine too) and a pen/pencil with you
wherever you go, jot down ideas, images that you see, phrases that you
come by along the street...all the little things in life can be
materials for your poems. <br>

In the beginning you might find yourself writing about the mundane
things in one's lives, but as you grasp the ways of writing, your
thoughts will take you deeper to the next level, and you may find your
poems getting more philosophical, questioning about things that you
see, or trying to explain certain things. <br>
<br>
Write often if you can. Doesn't have to be rigid like writing a diary
to produce say, a poem a day. There're bound to be times when you're
just not in the mood, or can't think of things to write about. It's
ok. You might find that writing meaningful, though short poems are
much better than forcing yourself coming up with something everyday.

answers10: It all comes from your life - what moves you, what your
heart wants, love, death, fear, betrayal, epiphany... <br>
<br>
Your poems don't have to rhyme or follow traditional meters, ie,
iambic pentameter. Great poems are honest and come from the soul,
unfiltered. <br>

Show up every day and tap into your emotions. <br>

Philosophy-right question?
answers1: In terms of philosophy they come from the idea that although
morals differ through every person the majority of people have a few
morals that are in common with each other. Rights were built around
these common morals to make the public feel good about the government
and when the majority is happy- then the government gets to stay in
power (in most cases of course).

What are Avicenna's major contributions to philosophy?
answers1: he is best known as a polymath, as a physician whose major
work the Canon (al-Qanun fi'l-Tibb) continued to be taught as a
medical textbook in Europe and in the Islamic world until the early
modern period, and as a philosopher whose major summa the Cure
(al-Shifa') had a decisive impact upon European scholasticism and
especially upon Thomas Aquinas (d. 1274)." <br>
<br>
His philosophy? He translated and interpreted Aristotle 250 years
before Aquinas----because the Arabs were in possession of his words
before they were given to Aquinas. "As such, he may be considered to
be the first major Islamic philosopher." <br>
<br>
"The second most influential idea of Avicenna is his theory of the
knowledge. The human intellect at birth is rather like a tabula rasa,
a pure potentiality that is actualized through education and comes to
know." He may have gotten this idea from Aristotle, but at any rate he
got it 500 years before John Locke made it a significant part of his
own philosophy, and Locke was an Aristotelian, too, so the connection
is strong here. <a href="http://www.iep.utm.edu/avicenna/#H6"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.iep.utm.edu/avicenna/#H6</a> <br>
<br>
Part of his philosophy was to construct a rational idea of Islam and
he made the attempt to bring secular ideas into understanding it. He
was successful to a point, because Muslim science and civilization
moved along long before that in the west. But he fell out of disfavor,
as did Averroes (Ibn Rushd who came along later and who followed
Avicenna's ideas) and with them went the science and the great
civilization came to a halt. This is because of the Islamic cultural
idea of the Shura Principle, which states that what the majority of
people believe to be true IS true. <br>
<br>
"His compromise with Muslim theology did not find favor in orthodox
circles and his philosophical works were burned in Baghdad. He
explained the moving, changing and developing state of nature. His
philosophy is the necessary link between the philosophy of Farabi and
Ghazali on one hand and that of Ibn Rushd (Averroes) on the other." <a

philosophy of Greek Classical Period?
answers1: The term "philosophy" is a compound word, composed of two
parts: philos (love) and sophia (wisdom), so that literally it means
love of wisdom. To be a philosopher is to love wisdom. <br>
The first part of the term philosophy (philos = love) is easy to
understand, denoting a "fondness for" or "attraction to." To love is
to place a value on something, so that the one who loves wisdom
considers it worthy of pursuit. The problem that arises, however, is
defining the term "wisdom" (sophia) as ancient Greeks would have
understood it. The term is not so easily explained. Nevertheless, this
much seems clear: since it was something to be loved and valued, it
seems that the ancient Greeks believed that wisdom did not come
naturally to the human beings. Normally, the things that are
commonplace and ubiquitous are taken for granted. Indeed, as will
become evident, ancient Greeks assumed that wisdom was inaccessible to
all but the intellectually capable and determined, so that its
possession was rare and highly prized. <br>
Generally for the ancient Greeks, to be a philosopher was to seek and
obtain an all-inclusive knowledge, which one could describe as the
knowledge of Being (Being is the most abstract of all terms, for it
means everything that is; as such Reality is a synonym for Being.)
Thus the philosopher, as the Greeks understood it, sought to
understand the Whole (another synonym for Being). The goal was to know
Being in its basic structure, not in all its multifarious detail, for
it was assumed that the details of one's existence become intelligible
when one understood them in relation to the Whole. To use a metaphor
from the building trade, the Greek philosopher was one who sought to
understand the framework in relation to which all the details of
existence were set. <br>

Performing Art Schools?
answers1: i dont know if you would consider boarding school, <br>
but walnut hill is a GREAT arts school, <br>
the academics are very good, <br>
and the arts are pretty much top notch. <br>
they also have rolling admission, <br>
so you can still get a spot there for this coming school year
answers2: I have yet to see any arts schools that accept middle school
students, but I suppose you could Google it or look in an Ohio
phonebook when you move there. It's probably best to wait until high
school to go to one, and that way you will be old enough to move to a
really good one rather than being restricted to ones close to you.
Arts schools are usually audition-only, so you have to be a very good
dancer to get in at all. Their dance programs vary, but most of the
schools I have looked at focus on ballet and contemporary or modern,
bot jazz or hip-hop. Keep that in mind, too when you look. <br>
<br>
I have a friend who goes to NCSA and loves it. They have an amazing
dance program.

Performing arts school audition (orchestra)?
answers1: For anyone wanting to get into any school. <br>
Don't trust our answers of even those of present or former students. <br>
Contact the school (Almost all have websites) <br>
mail, email or phone them. <br>
Tell them you are interested in their school. <br>
Ask for entrance requirements and what is expected in auditions. <br>
Ask for all brochures and information about your interest. <br>
Ask about tuition and other expenses. <br>
Ask about scholarships and their requirements.
answers2: You should probably do a few scales in a few different keys,
show skills like shifting and vibrato if you can, and try to play a
piece or solo for viola that's at your skill level. Normally the high
school can give you the audition requirements, though.
answers3: Sight reading isn't uncomplicated for many persons, so do no
longer complication. Fantasie impromptu is probable a extreme-grade or
degree point so seek for sight reading books or products for grade 7
or 8 on google or your music save or library. Sight reading is
approximately 2 grades decrease than your cutting-edge grade in an
examination, so i could locate some grade 6 or so products to sight
study. education no longer uncomplicated and you gets it. i do no
longer think of the sight reading piece would be extra beneficial than
a internet site so it shouldnt be TOO stressful. stable success, wish
this helps :)

Is there a psychology degree program just for the performing arts?

program that only focuses on snails. You can take any psychology
program and apply it to the performing arts on your own. Especially if
you progress far enough to write your own thesis, you can focus solely
on what you want to focus on.

worthless. No main is nugatory--if you happen to graduate, then you
might have acquired a degree, which is main to find a job. And in the

regarding your foremost; the factor is that you're constructing a just

fundamental could be anything you will have to appear into: english,
historical past, psychology, sociology, females's experiences,
communique, even trade or philosophy possibly good choices. Health
sciences maybe a excellent select, too, and perhaps much less

and even if you didn't emerge as liking the area, at the least you
received a requirement out of the way in which. Anything you most
important in, it will mostly be a excellent concept to get concerned
in some volunteer work or neighborhood service. Your institution might
already have a bunch that volunteers in nursing houses or assisted
residing communities--that stands out as the superb factor to join!
For the period of your time in college, that you may take on more

How much does a performing art school usually cost ?
answers1: From $30,000 to $40,000 A YEAR at a minimum and you need to
decide what you want to do when you grow up.. you have to study DANCE
or PIANO but you won't be able to DO BOTH at the same time because
they both demand too much time. You do NOT become a choreographer
unless YOU ARE A GOOD DANCER
answers2: like a college? well the ones i know of are 36,000-58,000
answers3: ^ answer is bullshit - do your own research. And cost also
depends on how talented/resourceful you are, find grants and
scholarships for others with your desire and you'll be able to pay for
a lot more than you expect. <br>
It also depends on your nationality, performing art schools in Austria
cost nothing if you are Austrian - if you have an EU passport, or know
how to get one you can go to a performing arts school gratis.
