answers1: Except for a few Catholics, NOBODY cares one bit about what
the pope does.

He only speaks for Catholics.

He does NOT speak for Christians in toto. And, he has NO authority to
change the Bible.

Go in peace.

And, always remember: -- Jesus loves you!!
answers3: The Pope never abolished Limbo. You need to get your facts
straight before you spout.
answers4: There is no reason to abolish Luke's genealogy. Neither
Luke's nor Matthew's genealogies are neccesary for salvation.

If you believe as I do that Matthew's genealogy is a later emendation,
it is even less relevant. I believe that Matthew's genealogy
originally went:

Mat 1:1 ¶ The book of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Mat 1:18 ¶ Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise:
answers5: Jesus abolished the place of the dead and opened the gates
of Heaven. Now you either go to Heaven , Purgatory or Hell.
answers6: lol. How can a mere man abolish what was never no such
thing in the first place? ;)
answers7: He didn't "abolish" a doctrinal belief. He simply
emphasized the fact that Limbo had never been a doctrinal teaching of
the Catholic Church. Neither the Pope nor anyone else can change a
doctrine of the Church, for unlike the beliefs of manmade Protestant
churches, the beliefs of the true Christian Church come from God
Himself, who guaranteed their truthfulness, telling the leaders of His
Church, and no-one else, "the Holy Spirit will guide you into all
truth", and "whatsoever you bind upon Earth is bound in Heaven", and
"he who hears you hears Me".
answers8: The Pope did not abolish limbo.

The Church has pondered the suggestion of Limbo for a few hundred
years and has decided that it is not a good idea. Limbo was never
official doctrine.

Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole
creation. He who believes and is baptized will be saved." (Mark
16:15-16)

For centuries, people have wondered about children who died before
they were baptized. The Bible does not explicitly state that they will
go to heaven.

Limbo was suggested as the place where unbaptized babies went when
they died. This idea was never official Church doctrine and has been
rejected.

The Church now says that it is not sure what happens to unbaptized
babies when they die but she entrusts them to the mercy of God.
