Patricia Bolduc: I think it is because people don't like to feel alone. This leads to more cell phone usage: texting, calling, etc. Eventually this evolves into using the phone during driving, dinner, class, you name it.Can you imagine how rude it would be if someone were reading a book during a group dinner? Now, everyone's playing with their cell phones around the dinner table instead of conversing, yet cell phone users don't find it rude....Show more
