Armando Somes: You don't say what state or country you're in. In CA this is called a multiple transfer. A multiple transfer involves at least one unrecorded ownership change for which a transfer fee is currently due. In California you can do this at the DMV or the AAA Auto Club. You will need in addition to the title, REG 262 Transfer and Reassignment form which is a Bill of Sale and Odometer disclosure. This is not a form you can download off the internet unfortunately. Lenard Ginyard: A Notary Protest utilizing The Notary Certificate of Default method is the most effective way to create evidence of your right to the title and maintain a good administrative record to affect the involuntary transfer of a motor vehicle title.
Sheldon Lally: When you buy a car, you must have it titled in your name (and pay any tax and titling fees) before you can sell it. You will need to apply fo! r a title in your name, and when you get that title, you can sell the car to your friend. You do not need to register the car, but you do have to title it.
Branden Roddick: u shudnt have signed it....but u can either pay and get new title and sell it again.....ud have to pay taxes......or u can try to erase ur signature......or have the person ur selling it to sign over urs in a way taht makes in not look retarded...good luck
Nannie Kasee: Unless you are a dealer, you must first put the car in your name and get a clear title before you can sell it to someone else. So get the title transferred, get the plate and pay the taxes on the sale, then you can sell it if you like.
