Serita Hefferon: If you happen to get only one different it can be gotta be Swamp thing. Scott Snyder can do no mistaken in my intellect. His writing is first rate. And Paquette's artwork is wonderful. Otherwise i would additionally advocate Justice League, Animal Man, motion Comics, and green Lantern.
Abby Herwood: I haven't read the Superman one, but iThink they alter his origin a bit. iHave read Detective Comics #1 and Batman #1 and it does NOT contain an origin. However, they do go through a bit to inform new readers, such as some background on Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Damien, Alfred, etc.
