What did people in the Medieval Ages do for entertainment?

Oren Eskelsen: Minstrels went down the streets and played music for payments. In Catholic Europe the carnival was a big event where singing dancing eating and drinking went on for 3 days. The church instituted the no work ethic on Sundays and many other holy days including Christmas amd Easter. When the Protestants came they banned all entertainment. Weddings were held on Sundays. They had horse racing and similar games as they are still commemorated in Italy today. Every town had a theatre and a marching band.
